The exhibition was implemented in the framework of the research project “Ancient strategies for land use in a diachronic perspective and their impact on contemporary infrastructure plans: the example of Siphnos”, which, under the acronym “Siphnos and beyond”, was included in the action “Bilateral and Multilateral Research & Technological Cooperation between Greece and Germany” of the NSRF 2014-2020.
The project was carried out with the cooperation of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Cyclades, the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Germany, and the software development company Dataverse LTD, as well as with the participation of the University of Ioannina, Greece.
The exhibition was organized by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Cyclades. Co acting bodies: Municipality of Siphnos, Association “Friends of the Castle” Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Siphnos.
The exhibition highlighted the project, the main results of the archaeological research, and the key conclusions drawn from the recording of intertemporal data of land use, offering valuable information for the sustainable development of the island.
